Fresh Produce Competition 18th Feb

CALLING ALL ENTRIES from, farmers, small scale growers, home growers and avid gardeners. Bring your fresh produce and enter it in the fresh produce competition – 4pm to 8pm 18 Feb!

Due to COVID implications the Maitland Show has been postponed but the PRODUCE COMPETITION will GO AHEAD as planned. So put your best foot forward and bring your beautiful vegetables to the Maitland Showground and enter them in our fresh produce competition.

We will be accepting entries in all classes from 4pm to 8pm on Thursday 18th February at the McDonald Pavilion under the grandstand. Entry fee is a tiny $1 for each entry (up to 10 entries). Additional entries are free.

Slow Food Hunter Valley is proudly sponsoring prizes for the produce classes this year. With recent rain and milder weather, we are hoping for a really spectacular number of entries.

Attendance

Please note, the produce section will only open to exhibitors and authorised officials. While the public cannot attend, we do plan to share photographs of the produce on our social media pages.

Entry Forms

Option 1: To enter, download and complete the entry form, bring your completed entry form and produce to the McDonald Pavilion under the grandstand on Thursday 18th Feb (between 4pm and 8pm). You can pay the entry free at the pavilion when you drop off your produce.

Option 2: Alternatively, bring your produce to the Slow Food stand at the Earth Market on Thursday 18th Feb (between 8.30am and 12 noon). Complete an entry form (download it or pick one up from the Slow Food stand) and leave the produce, entry form and your entry fee with us. We will get it to the Showground, ready for the judging on Friday morning.
